Synopsis

Frankenstein: Resurrection is a Gothic tragedy musical that begins at the frozen end of Mary Shelley’s novel—and refuses to let it stay finished. When Victor Frankenstein is pulled alive from the Arctic ice, his survival ignites a new cycle of transgression in 19th-century Paris, a city that treats death as entertainment and bodies as currency. As Victor attempts to rebuild himself through stolen flesh, he evolves from tragic survivor into willing predator, discovering not just how to cheat death—but how intoxicating it feels to do so.

At the center stands Fritz Igor, the so-called Monster, now a keeper of the dead who hears their voices and guards their dignity. Forced back into his creator’s orbit, Igor must confront the ultimate moral horror: the resurrection of love without consent, and the sacrifice of the living to preserve the past. As Victor descends into madness and murder, the roles fully invert—creator becomes monster, monster becomes conscience—and the story builds toward a final, devastating choice between acceptance and annihilation. Operatic, brutal, and deeply human, Frankenstein: Resurrection asks one haunting question: what is the cost of refusing to let go—and who pays it when we don’t?
