Synopsis
In the rubble of the London Blitz of World War II, Alice Spencer’s budding teen life is turned upside down. When her dear friend Alfred is quarantined, Alice encourages him to escape into their cherished book and journey down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. From the Tony and Grammy award-winning creators of Spring Awakening, this touching musical explores the poignancy of first love, coming to terms with loss, and finding the courage to move forward. Featuring the BFA in Musical Theatre Junior Class. Second Stage Productions put the spotlight on the actors and the text. They are unique learning experiences for students, giving the BFA Acting and Musical Theatre students performance opportunities that demand a heightened focus on the craft and a deeper connection to the text and with their cohort. Tickets to these performances are free, but reservations are required.
